Thakur Prasad CHAPAGAIN

Executive Director

Mr. Thakur Prasad Chapagain is the Executive Director of Child Welfare Scheme Nepal (CWSN). He has been serving in this position since 1^st October 2019. Mr. Chapagain served as Human Rights Officer of the National Human Rights Commission of Nepal for 6 years (2005-2011).  Mr. Chapagain also worked as Country Focal Person of Civil Society Alliance for Child Rights in South Asia Project from 2011-2013, funded by the European Union. From January 2014 to December 2018, Mr. Chapagain served at the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) as the Human Rights Officer. During these assignments, Mr. Chapagain mainly focused on the Rights of the Child, Persons with Disabilities, Women, Girls, and Youth. He is also a member of the RI social commission under Rehabilitation International (RI Global).
